Do I need to own my land first?+
Ideally, yes — Build On Your Lot is designed for homeowners who already own their property. If you're close to closing or still considering a parcel, tell us on the first call; we can help you evaluate whether a lot will support the home you're imagining.
How long does a custom build take?+
Every home and lot is different, but from design to move-in you should expect on the order of a year to eighteen months. You'll receive a project-specific timeline — and keep receiving it, honestly updated — during design.
What happens on the first call?+
A brief, unhurried conversation. We'll ask about your lot, your household and what you're envisioning; you'll ask us anything. We'll tell you candidly whether we're the right builder for the project — and if we are, we'll suggest next steps.
Can we really stay in our current home during construction?+
Yes — that's the entire premise of the program. Because we're building on your separate lot, your current home is never touched. You keep your kitchen, your quiet and your routines until you move — once, and only forward.
Where do you build?+
We build custom homes throughout Avon Lake and the greater Cleveland / Northeast Ohio area. If your land is nearby but outside that radius, call us — we'll tell you honestly if we can serve you well.
